Banned from school, Afghan girls turn to madrassas

Due to the ongoing conflict and insecurity in Afghanistan, many schools have closed down or have limited accessibility for girls. As a result, some girls have turned to madrassas, or Islamic religious schools, as an alternative to continue their education. However, there are concerns about the quality of education and potential for extremist ideologies to be promoted in some madrassas. Additionally, attending a madrassa may not provide the same opportunities for career advancement or social mobility as a traditional school education. It is essential to prioritize and invest in the education of girls in Afghanistan, ensuring access to safe and quality schooling that prepares them for a better future.
