Putin says ready to discuss China's Ukraine plan at Xi talks

 


Russian President Vladimir Putin has said he is willing to discuss China's proposal for resolving the conflict in Ukraine during his upcoming talks with Chinese President Xi Jinping. This announcement comes as tensions continue to rise between Russia and Western countries over the ongoing conflict in Ukraine, with the U.S. and its allies accusing Russia of providing military support to separatist rebels in eastern Ukrain


China has proposed a four-point plan for resolving the Ukraine crisis, which includes a ceasefire, dialogue between the conflicting parties, constitutional reform, and economic development. While the plan has not yet been widely adopted by other countries, Putin's willingness to discuss it with Xi suggests that Russia may be open to exploring alternative solutions to the conflict.

Border violence displaces 76,000 in Lebanon: Hezbollah

 The International Organization for Migration (IOM) of the United Nations reported on Friday that nearly three months of nearly daily fighting along the border with Israel had resulted in the displacement of more than 76,000 people in Lebanon. The boundary region has seen a flood of viciousness since early October, with blow for blow trades of fire forging ahead with Friday between Israeli powers and Hezbollah. In a report distributed on Thursday, the IOM said that the heightening had uprooted 76,018 individuals, predominantly in areas of southern Lebanon lining Israel.
