North Korea fires two missiles, second test in three days

 


North Korea has fired two missiles, marking their second test launch in just three days. This recent move is seen as a show of defiance against the United States and South Korea, who have been conducting joint military exercises in the region. The missiles were reportedly launched from a site near the capital, Pyongyang, and flew towards the Sea of Japan. The United States and South Korea have both condemned the missile tests and called for North Korea to return to negotiations on its nuclear program. The international community continues to monitor the situation closely, as tensions on the Korean peninsula remain high.

Border violence displaces 76,000 in Lebanon: Hezbollah

 The International Organization for Migration (IOM) of the United Nations reported on Friday that nearly three months of nearly daily fighting along the border with Israel had resulted in the displacement of more than 76,000 people in Lebanon. The boundary region has seen a flood of viciousness since early October, with blow for blow trades of fire forging ahead with Friday between Israeli powers and Hezbollah. In a report distributed on Thursday, the IOM said that the heightening had uprooted 76,018 individuals, predominantly in areas of southern Lebanon lining Israel.
