Magnitude 6.5 quake jolts Afghanistan, Pakistan and India

 


On March 21, 2023, a magnitude 6.5 earthquake struck Afghanistan, Pakistan, and India, causing widespread panic and damage. The epicenter of the quake was reported to be in the Hindu Kush region, near the Afghanistan-Pakistan border. The earthquake was felt across a wide area, including major cities such as Kabul, Peshawar, and New Delhi.


According to initial reports, several buildings and homes collapsed, and many people were injured. Rescue teams were immediately dispatched  to the affected areas to provide aid and support to those affected by the quake.


This earthquake is a reminder of the continued risk of seismic activity in the region, and the importance of preparedness and disaster management measures to mitigate its impact.
