Lahore High Court grants protective bail to Imran Khan in multiple cases

The Lahore High Court has granted protective bail to the Prime Minister of Pakistan, Imran Khan, in nine cases. The cases relate to the alleged violation of Covid-19 SOPs during the 2020 Gujranwala and Multan public gatherings, as well as the 2014 attack on the Pakistan Television (PTV) building during the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) sit-in in Islamabad.

The court has instructed Imran Khan to cooperate with the investigation and appear before the court on the dates specified. The decision comes after the Islamabad High Court issued arrest warrants for Imran Khan in the PTV building attack case. The protective bail will provide temporary relief to the Prime Minister until the next hearing of the case.
