Iran to buy Su-35 fighter jets from Russia - Iranian broadcaster

According to Iranian broadcaster Press TV, Iran is planning to purchase Su-35 fighter jets from Russia. The move comes as Iran seeks to modernize its military capabilities amid tensions with the United States and its allies in the region.

The Su-35 is a fourth-generation fighter jet capable of air-to-air and air-to-surface missions. It has a range of up to 3,600 km and can reach speeds of up to Mach 2.25. The aircraft is equipped with advanced avionics and weapons systems, making it a formidable addition to any air force.

The sale of Su-35s to Iran is likely to face opposition from the United States, which has imposed sanctions on Iran's military and defense industries. However, Russia has been a key ally of Iran in the face of Western sanctions, and the two countries have a history of military cooperation.
