China's Xi wants bigger global role after Saudi-Iran deal

Following the recent Saudi-Iran deal, China's President Xi Jinping has expressed interest in a bigger global role for his country. In a phone call with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, Xi called for "building a harmonious world of lasting peace and common prosperity" and emphasized China's commitment to promoting international cooperation and peaceful development. This move aligns with China's increasing involvement in global affairs and Xi's vision of a "community with a shared future for mankind." As tensions between Saudi Arabia and Iran ease, China is poised to play a larger role in the region and on the world stage.
