Group A
Namibia, the Netherlands, Sri Lanka, and the United Arab Emirates advanced to the second round, while Zimbabwe, the West Indies, Scotland, and Ireland were eliminated
Group B
The tournament will take place at seven locations across Australia, with the final being held at the Melbourne Cricket Ground. Other host venues include Perth Stadium, Belle rive Oval in Hobart, Park in Geelong, and the Brisbane Gabby. Group B: Zimbabwe, West Indies, Ireland, Scotland; Group 2: Bangladesh, India, Pakistan, South Africa, winners of Group B and runners-up of Group A
Tournament Format
The three stages of the ICC Men's T20 World Cup are the tournament's format. In the first round, two groups of four teams compete in a round-robin format in the First Round. Each group's top two teams advance to the Super 12 stage. The knockout stage includes two semi-finals and a final on November 13 at the MCG
Points System
Both the semi-finals and the final have reserve days scheduled. Any necessary reduction in overs will be made, and every effort will be made to conclude the match on the scheduled day. There will be no reserve day for any other matches. The following points system will be used in the Super 12 group stages and the first round
